Executive Director

Charlie Ingram is a graduate of the Conservatory of Theatre arts at Webster University where he received his BFA in Musical Theatre and, more recently, graduated Cum Laude from Depaul University College of Law. Before becoming an attorney, he performed at multiple regional theatres around the United States including The MUNY, Stages St Louis, Arrow Rock Lyceum Theatre, The Rio Las Vegas, Insight Theatre Company and was a featured performer on the Oceania Regatta. Reluctant to leave the theatre world behind, Charlie jumped at the opportunity to build Saguaro City Music Theatre from the ground up with Artistic Director, Drew Humphrey. Charlie is thrilled and honored to leverage his experience in both professional worlds as he and Drew, along with Director of Education, Dena DiGiacinto, create an inclusive, engaging musical theatre company that the people of Tucson can claim as their own.

Artistic Director

After growing up in Tucson and performing here as a child, Drew graduated from the University of Arizona with a BFA in Dance. He then spent the next 20 years in New York City directing, choreographing, performing and educating. He worked on Broadway, National Tours, Off-Broadway, regionally, and at concert venues all across the country and has been involved with developing brand new works in their humble beginnings, to commercial, large budgeted projects for critical audiences. He is now thrilled to take his acting, directing and choreographic expertise back to the desert to contribute to a vibrant artistic community that first inspired him toward theatre arts in the first place. Favorite highlights of his career include: Original Broadway cast of Irving Berlin's White Christmas (Cast Recording), sharing the stage with Tommy Tune in Encore's Lady Be Good (Cast Recording), performing on the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade, and directing and choreographing productions of Disney's Mary Poppins, A Chorus Line, Singin' in the Rain, Oklahoma, and Gypsy. Drew’s educational experience includes guest teaching, master classes, and guest directing and choreographing at high schools and universities. He is also a regular contributor for Variety: The Children's Charity, where he helped create and continues to direct an inclusive summer theatre camp for children of all abilities. Of all pursuits, bringing inclusive arts educational opportunities to the community is a central focus for Drew and Saguaro City Music Theatre.

Director of Outreach and Education

Dena DiGiacinto, a graduate of The American Musical and Dramatic Academy in New York City, has performed everywhere from Europe to Asia to Broadway. Some of her favorite productions include the broadway revival of A Chorus Line, Evita (25th Anniversary National Tour, directed by the legendary Hal Prince), and a theatre for young audiences production of Disney's 101 Dalmatians. Dena also had the great honor of performing at two special events with the late, great Marvin Hamlisch. Recently, Dena was assistant choreographer to Tony Award nominated director/choreographer Marcia Milgrom Dodge on a production of Evita at Drury Lane Theatre. At the John W. Engeman Theatre in New York, Dena worked on Mary Poppins (associate director/choreographer), Thoroughly Modern Millie (co-choreographer), and A Chorus Line (choreographer). Several years ago, Dena realized that aside from theatre, she also has a passion for helping people. She became a certified occupational therapy assistant, and used her education in that field combined with her background in theatre to co-create "Curtain Up!", a musical theatre camp through Variety: The Children's Charity of St. Louis, which was designed for children and teens of all abilities. Dena is thrilled to bring this inclusive theatre arts education program to the Tucson community.
